Phase 1
CONCEPTUALISE
Our process begins with an initial consultation to discuss your specific design requirements and to understand your lifestyle needs. This first step allows us to spend time with you and provides an opportunity to conceptualise and create appealing, and functional spaces for you within your home. We identify colours, themes, wall coverings, floor finishes, fixtures and fittings, furnishings, and other relevant design elements that will come together to bring your dream home to life.
Deliverables after this phase:
- Design style concept presentation
- Concept sample presentation board
- Prime cost (supply & delivery of architectural finishes) discussion and budgeting.
Phase 2
RESEARCH & SPATIAL PLANNING
Once we have a good understanding of what you want to achieve with your interior designs, we move onto the research and spatial planning phase. With more than 20 years’ experience in the interior design industry, our professional, experienced interior design team has built up a wealth of valuable relationships with reputable and reliable suppliers who deliver high-quality services and products to our clients. Our clients value our
ability to source and negotiate with suppliers on their behalf. We then enter the spatial planning phase during which we produce concept drawings and images to present to you for approval. Once approved, we are able to provide comprehensive architectural interior finishes specifications to you and your contractor.

Phase 3
CREATION
This phase is characterised by a lot of administrative tasks; selecting, ordering, and being patient while bespoke items are created and delivered. Installation doesn’t happen on just a single day, certain elements such as wall and floor finishes, fixtures and fittings will need to happen earlier in the installation process and a close eye must be kept on the project to ensure that it all comes together perfectly. Our professional interior design team is adept to managing large- and small-scale projects. We are your on-site representatives and will endeavour to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible, resolving any issues as they arise.

PROJECT MONITORING AND COORDINATION SERVICE
The Goodspace offers a multifaceted project monitoring and co-ordination service that consists of four phases.
Phase 1
RE-BUILD PROJECT ASSESSMENT & PLANNING
We compile a comprehensive brief that takes your design, functional and financial needs into consideration. This initial stage enables us to ascertain which professionals are required for a project and to determine the optimal use of resources.
Phase 2
IDENTIFICATION OF PROFESSIONAL PROJECT TEAM
After your project manager, the architect is the most important professional on your team. We help to identify the right architect for each project, ensuring that they are experienced in the style that is required and that their fees are within budget. We also ensure that they are registered, not only with SACAP, but that they are approved to work in the estate or development where your home will be built.
During this phase, we will also identify and appoint any additional professionals required to your project team. These may include the engineer, quantity surveyor, energy efficiency consultant and landscape architect.
Phase 3
BUDGETING
From the input received from the professional project team, we compile a preliminary projected budget and timeline for your build. As the architectural drawings near completion, we put your construction requirements out to tender, to carefully selected service providers. Once the bids have been assessed, the most suitable company is appointed.
Phase 4
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
Once all the contractors and service providers have been selected and contractually appointed, we will oversee the build with physical site visits, issue work-in-progress construction snag lists and attend regular meetings with your team to ensure that everyone remains on schedule and on budget. Ultimately, we act as your representatives for the duration of the build, providing you with regular updates and reports.
